Folks, I would like to get some thoughts/comments regarding this, because after analyzing all the info I'm stumped and there's no logical answer so go ahead and enlighten me to WHY ???

Why is this (Type 56-1) classified as Prohibited under the mid 90's law

Why is this (Type 81) classified as non-restricted

one is an AK
The other is not an AK

Although they look the sameish the innards are completely different.

why are you confused?

On account of my having the first one locked up in my safe for the past 20 years and not being able to shoot it while watching other people shooting the new one out there."Frustrating" is a word I find would be inadequate to be applied.
If the whole purpose of some bureaucrat sitting in Ottawa in the old days was to look at what looks scary and prohib it hence I posted the pics.

Never mind that what about an prohibited AK and a non restricted Valmet

AK is evil. Anyone who touches it goes crazy and starts shooting everyone and especially children.

Valmet is not evil. It helps indigenous people to survive in harsh, desolate Canada, where food is scarce.
