Thoughts on 1911 SAM mil 9mm to buy

Hey guys, got some money saved up and I've been researching on several 1911s. And so far the best bang for your buck that it seems is the 1911 SAM mil 9mm. I just want some honest opinions and maybe other suggestions that is around the same price range ($500). Thanks guys.

I like mine. Mind you I don't shoot it much but I like the fit and finish for the price.

I don't have any first hand experience but from everything I've read and heard SAM is by far the best choice at that price point.

I have never shot the 9 but my sam thunderbolt has 5000+ rounds through it with no issues

Go for it. Just a quick note, I find SAM's pistols a bit heavier than the better known branded ones. Finish and fit is surprisingly very good for the price. Reliability is also remarkable.

Go for it....
I have the 9mm SS commander version, good gun, shoots great, no issues at all.
Also have a .40 and .45 SAM...pretty much the best bang for your $$ in a 1911 right now.

This is the one I'm looking at.

Exact one I'm trying to order myself. I'd love to get it bead-blasted like the CZ75b New Edition, but cosmetics are superfluous (for now).

Edit: After reconsidering the comments about the Wolverine SAM products/pricing in another thread, maybe I'll wait to see if a 9mm stainless Thunderbolt will see the light of day any time 'soon'. Biggest concern would be an even nose heavier gun in 9mm as compared to .45ACP.
