Thoughts on buying EOTech now?

Hey Guys,

I seen a lot of threads on refunds and what we know about the problems that they have, doesn't anyone recommend buying one? I used the sight in Iraq with no issues and now out of the Army I don't plan on using my AR in a war like situation and / or extreme temps. I am still considering buying, but was wondering everyone thoughts now in 2016?

If that is what you like? I guess worst case scenario, you send your newly bought sight in for a full refund...?
I personally wouldn't support a company that lied to countless soldiers and LEO's.
 
I liked EoTech, but worried that the company won't be around for much longer and that is why I returned my 552. Right now, I'm looking at an Aimpoint or possible an Elcan to replace the 552.

If EoTech survives, it will take a while before I'd trust them again.
 
Like you OP I have used the eotech in combat many times and have 2 on ARs of my own currently. I did send one back and may send 1 more back but will definitely with out a doubt be keeping one. For punching paper my newest eotech has done a great job this far. Has not lost its zero or had any POI shift even after removing the optic for cleaning.
I'm sure if you watch the ee you will be able to pick up a decent priced eotech. To answer your questions yes I would

^^^ My sentiment exactly.

I was truly saddened to have to send mine but back but I could no longer in good faith, continue to support a company that knowingly sold a defective product where lives were on the line (including mine!) to make a buck.

Thanks for you feedback! I have used in combat as well and have used aimpoint in the past too, but feel I can acquire the target quicker with EOTech. Hopefully I find someones EXPS3 for sale soon...

I like the big window of the EOTech, but the reliability concerns outweigh that. Aimpoint is the easy choice in this matter.
 
I returned one for now and kept 3. I want to see how the refund goes first before sending the rest. I got all mine for under 400 on awesome deals. I do like eotechs better but I don't know if there will be any after this is all done.

That was my thought process too in sending mine in. By my understanding the problem isn't a manufacturing issue but in the technology itself. I'm tempted to pick up another one cheap though cause that reticle really is the ticket...
