thoughts on CCI ammo

What does it retail for in most stores?

Well, I get CCI Stingers at CT for $6.99 a box of 50. Just bought some CCI Velocitors from a local gun shop and paid over $7.00 for a box of 50.

I've shot the stingers out of my Lakefield 64b and found it to be a very accurate and reliable round. Never used the velocitors before and can't wait to try them out.

CCI Minimags are the only rimfire ammo I use. Got tired of finding out what my 22s like because they ALL like the Minimags and shoot it accurately. I just dont bother with anything else. Was the only ammo my 1022 liked after trying everything I could get.

Just gathering up different types for testing my new rifle. Found Velocitors at Army Navy in Halifax, but at $8 per 50 box. Eley's were also $8. Federal champion was $4 for 50.

So, the CCI's were double the cost of cheap 22lr's.

Haven't tried the Minimags, but I really like the Stingers for rabbit. They are accurate enough for rabbit, gopher, etc., in my rifle, and their performance is awesome. However, they are the least accurate for target, and not accurate enough for head shots on grouse. mind you that's only in 1 gun, and plenty of people swear by them.

Had my first Stinger DUD last week.

Don' know exactly how many cases (5000 rounds) I've gone through but probably 10 over the years.

CCi ammo is the best.

Started getting into the CCI quickshocks and they are even better!

They are pretty impressive on small critters! I have had some very messy kills with it. Blows gophers up more like a centerfire.
