I'm thinking of putting a set on my BHP. Has anyone had any experience with them. Ease of use, battery life, accuracy....etc, etc ?
Are they even legal in Canada? Is there any Canadian source of supplies or can they be shipped out of the USA?

All comments appreciated.

Thanks,

HA

Awesome have them on my Kimber stainless target 11 in 10mm and my shortened to 4.25" barreled Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull.

Not the Kimber just bought it this last fall the 454 Casull was though I have not had an ATC for over 4 years now started a new business figure one to two more years tops and I'll be able to leave my employees working here while I get back out in the bush again with my ATC.

So to answer your question I first installed the Crimson Trace laser grips onto my 4.25" SRH in 454 Casull loaded with Jae-Bok Young 405gr WLNGC bullets @ 1330fps because it was my carry gun while I worked solo for weeks at a time in the most remote wilderness areas of BC & Alberta.

Handguns I have had on my ATC

Colt Delta Elite 6" Barsto barrel 10mm
Glock 20 5" KKM barrel 10mm
S&W 629 6" 44mag
2 Ruger Bisley Vaquero's 5.5" barrels 45 Colt
2 Ruger Ruger Super Redhawk's 7.5" barrels 454 Casull

Shortened the one SRH to 4.25" it became my favorite ATC gun and the one I still feel is the ultimate weight to power ratio handgun.

The one thing I didn't like about crimsom trace is that when I index my finger on the frame, it tends to block the beam. I know that isn't an issue when actively firing, but when indicating point of aim without wanting to fire, it was a bit of a thing for me.

If I was going to go for a laser sight, I would go with a LaserMax guide rod laser.

As to accuracy/maintaining zero on my SRH even my 405gr 1330fps 454 Casull loads have never made it loose zero.

Like anything Crimson Trace lasers are not perfect but they're close.

Cav I agree with you on my Kimber 1911 but I do not have issue with the SRH revolver grip.

Issue with it is the top left rear of the grip had a small knob on it after 6 shots it had hammered into my thumb joint so hard that I couldn't use my hand properly for at least a week.

Simple fix was I took my dremel and ground the knob off you have to look close to see that I had touched it.

I don't personally own a set but tried a friends a few weeks back, they were way kewl and worked great right down to the coffee twitch they are senstiave and accurate I found. Not sure of cost but for something as handy as that charge the card its worth it
