Guess?
I was wondering what you guys think about the 28" H&R Pardner 12Ga? I do not own a shotgun and I am thinking of getting one. The price at Wholesale Sports is $139 right now and that seems pretty good to me.

Very old Pardner still in use

I've got a very old "Topper" which is now equivalent to the current Pardner. It was my grandfather's (he bought it before my mother was born). With firearms that simple and well made you can expect long and good use out of them. At 139 bucks I'd jump on it. There are very few moving parts and it's quite light weight as a result (though that does tend to increase recoil with heavier loads). Simplicity can be perfection. Definitely though, your intended use for this shotgun would be one of the most important factors in making a decision.
