Thinking about putting the Knox recoil reduceing stock on one of my shotguns how are they do they work are they comfortable

I wasn't a big fan of the one I had on my Remington 870. I felt that, at least for me, to get a good cheek welt my eyes wouldn't be lined up with the sights very well.

I've never tried the one that looks like a traditional stock but the Spec Ops is not great with a bead as Punisher has pointed out.
Best use would be with a red dot or some higher ghost ring sights.

Many people report getting a lot of cheek slap using them, this is caused by not having your check properly on the weld of the stock. This can be fixed by adjusting the stock to the proper LOP. I have it on a 12" barreled 870 /w a RMR sight, this requires a inexpensive riser made by Blackhawk.

Do they work? Yes. If you're an experienced shooter, you should be able to comfortably shoot 3" magnum slugs one handed without any trouble. I have tried several others one's and I personally like this one the best.
Expect the added weight because of the steel spring inside the stock.

I did not like mine, I think they will cheek slap to some degree no matter what because of the design. Many people do like them tho. I have a Enidine on my 870, with Mesa LEO adapter and a Magpul CTR. I find it a far superior solution, but it is much more money, and doesn't reduce any recoil at the pistol grip. It's more similar to the kicklite than the knoxx... however quite a bit more money by the time you buy a M4 adapter, the enidine, and a buttstock.
