Thoughts on Make-a-Break?

In June the Moncton Gun Club will hold Altantic Canada's first licensed Make-a-Break shoot. Not knowing much about this game I'm curious as to what those who have shot it before think of it?

It's definitely fun, but organizing it and setting it up is a huge pita.

A local club does a version of it from hunting blinds in the fall

Montreal Angers & Hunters as well as Galt Sportsmen and La Roue du Roy have had a license for many years. Moncton is at least 15 years late. Travel a bit and you will learn a lot. Make-a-Break is two #1 trap targets that are random used for combinations to 7 traps. So, it is 1-2 and so on to 1-7 with increasing difficulty. Once the 1-7 is reached, the high scorer choses his combination and the second shooter his. it is a bit of gambling. In the US , they use NSCA class while in Canada, it is HOA takes all.

Please explain.

You can shoot head to head against a buddy. It's a fast round. If you fall behind you can make up by shooting the tough birds. You have to hit the "one" bird to get the second one. Give it a try and see for yourself.
