Well I have the base mounted to my 700 and so far havent had and issue at all, I do have a set of the rings for a 35 mm tube but haven't had much use out of them so can't make a true judgement but they do seem to be well constructed.
I have millett rings on my savage 243 with weaver bases and i have not adjusted the scope in a very long time. its one of those trusted rifles that seem to hit everything you aim at.
They seem to be as good as Leopolds rings but only a fraction of the cost so pick youre poison.
My newly aquired Win model 100 is wearing a weaver base, to mount the new Millett rings embracing a Leopold vx 2. It seems the Milletts were the lowest mount I could find for the rifle / scope combo.
If there was a weakest link you would think it was the weaver base but most of my guns have them and they have always been true.
With that said, try to avoid cheap rings as they may be the weakest link in the rifle/ scope set up. Best of luck!.
Everything stood up to 116 rounds before selling rifle. Still have rings that came with scope. Base was a 45moa Alberta Tactical Rifle manufactured one.
No compalints. They are an entry level kind of thing.
I have come to learn to love the Millett Angle-Loc rings. As long as you read and follow the directions.
They have been my 'go to' rings for the past 20 years. Lately, I've worked a few extra shifts and saved some money for TPS 30mm steel rings for my serious competition rings. Sitting on my 2 .22LR rifles are the Angle-Locs in Matte finish... still.
What I like particularly is the availability of the Angle Loc rings in many, many stores and in 30mm size. So I keep quite a few on hand for my 30mm scope tubes and the various swapping of optics on different sniper rigs.
I've competed with the Angle-Loc rings at the provincial and national level and even wond many medals with them. I'm super pleased. Hope this can work for you , you budget, and yer game!
I have had good results with The Millett rings. However I do prefer the Burris Signature rings which have the ability to adjust both windage & elevation with the different inserts.
