Just curious if anyone has experience with these red dot sights (Vortex SPARC AR). Looking at this sight to mount to a Radical Firearms AR. Would just be using this rifle for the range 50-100 yards. Seems like a red dot would be the way to go for this kind of use. Any feed back? Cheers.

Not sure what the difference really is but possibly check out the new vortex crossfire red dot . It retails for $199 so cheaper than a spark

I loved the Sparc AR. Only had it for a short while, but it had very clear glass, the dot was crisp and the adjustments were bang on.

I liked the battery it used and where it was located too.

Didn't get rid of it cause it had problems...finally picked up an ACOG

I have one. Put it on an AR but never fired it. Went for a Holo instead (not that the SPARC) had nothing bad.

Ended up putting it n a 10/22 and love it! It's small and has a great dot. Just got a Bushnel 1-4AR illuminated scope.

If I don't like that (again really just trying to try new things) I will put the SPARC on AR.

I’ve had one on my AR for about 2 years now. It’s clear, holds zero and nice red dot for the price. It’s not a Acog or Elcan but it’s also a fraction of the price. Compared to my other red dots on other various rifles it’s a big step up from the old bushnell trs25 and a smaller step up from the vortex strikefire 2. For me 100 yards with a red dot is a bit of a stretch as the dot will basically cover the target. My ranges are usually close up to 50 yards. Suits me fine.

When I zero a red dot I dial it down a bit, so its actually smaller than 2 MOA...which is still only 2". But I know what ya mean, it definitely aint a scope/crosshairs.

I'll take it over irons though!

Can also zero it an inch and a half high so its hitting right on top of the center of the dot and eke out a bit more precision that way.

Minute of Tims cup for me at 100 works, though ;)

Thanks for the input, I actually just saw a Bushnell AR 3-9 scope on sale, would that be something comparable? I realize its comparing apples to oranges a little (Red dot to scopes) but I now I feel a little toss up between which to go with.
