Thoughts on the CSA VZ58 Sporter 7.62x39mm 11.8

I have a pair of CSA vz58 Sporters with 7.5 inch barrels I have fired thousand of rounds through them over the 5 years that i have owned them and not a problem.... Ever.... it is my favourite Firearm I take them out all the time... I find that they eat everything from the very cheap to best brand names1501407_658082937564229_450348675_o-1.jpg

I have a CSA 11.8" barrel VZ58 and I love it !!! I run it hard on run&gun matches and it has seen between 2000 or 3000 7.62x39 rounds of all kinds. Bore ia chromed so it makes it easier to clean. I inspect it every time I bring it to the range for premature wear reported on earlier versions or the NR VZ58 from CSA, nothing to report yet.

Very fun to shoot, 3" to 4" groups @ 100m with chinese surplus ammo and I have shot it out to 300m with good results.

Here it is (parts breakdown below picture)

-Fab Defense folding stock, handguards and pistol grip. From Zahal
-OKO Sight with metal cover
-S&J Hardware slingmount. I filed down the side I don't use
-Czech muzzle brake
-Dlask Extended mag release

I use a mix of Fab defense ultimag (polymer), surplus magazines and CSA magazines without issues. I had to file a small portion on the ultimag to make them insert properly. My Fab Defense handguards actually hold zero, never had to rezero after cleaning/reassembling.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I will try to find the thread about it tonight. Some CSA had weak inside bolt carrier guide rail due to bad heat treatement IIRC. I have never witnessed it myself but I keep an eye on all my firearms for "unusual" wear.

If you are buying new from Bulleye, you get warranty anyway (5 years I think)
