Thoughts on the Ruger 77/22

The 77/22 feels like a bigger rifle, I think Ruger's intent was to make it feel like a centerfire. They succeeded, very nice to hold and shoot, one of the best safeties on the market, no one else has a 3 position safety. Very simple and elegant rifles IMO. Plus you can, if you like, get some aftermarket parts for them. Mine sits in a Boyd's pepper stock, with a GM 16.5" fluted stainless tapered sporter, best group of 1/4" at 50 with Rem subs. Only downside is they are a little pricey.
