Hi CGNers
I'm in the market of a scope for my tikka 308, and I heard from the seller (seems like a guy serving in Alberta army) that he is very pleased with his scope made by Vector Optics on his $3500 rifle. I think it is a Vector Optics Taurus 3-18x50mm with First Focal Plane, claimed using Germen glasses and come with lifetime warrenty.
I did several researches already, seems most of the online forums have only 3-4 posts on this company, and some YT review videos.
All of them said that it was a sort of steal for that price for such quality of scope (comparable to Vortex), while other commenters remained skeptical.
I did check the background of the company, it is a company in Shanghai, China, called Sunclear before, their Chinese website had the scope about the MSRP in CNY as CAD. (so at least it is not a cheap e-bay stuff)
As my self being a Chinese I am fine with the origin of the product, as long as it is worth for what I paid for.
Has anyone have experience with these scopes? should I take the risk or just go for a Vortex?
Thanks
Tim
