Anyone have a Leupold VX6 1-6 x 24? What are your thoughts on it?

I need a scope for my new Winchester M70 .375 H&H and am thinking this could be it.

Regards, Kevin

Great scopes, very clear, great eye relief.
Don't underestimate the range potential of a 375 however.
I'd consider a 2.5-8 or a 3.5-10 vx3 as well, depending on what you'll be using this for.
Congrats of the new winchester. Very nice.

Thanks Buckmastr......I was thinking of the VX3i in 2.5-8 x 36 as well.

I do have the 3.5-10 x 40 on a .270 and quite like it.

I was curious about this one as well, I seen the Zeiss V8 1.1-8 but settled on a Nightforce 2.5-10x32. Took it to the range for the first time the other day, 8 shots off the bags and I'm impressed with the the scope/gun combo so far.

I had a VX6 1-6x24 with illuminated reticle on my .375 H&H, as I wasn't using my .375 much I sold the scope to help fund a Zeiss HT for my 30-06. I should never have sold the VX-6, I regret it whenever I pick up my .375 and I will probably buy another one (Although I also love my Zeiss HT !!).

They have good glass, a very nice illumination system, and they are lighter and cost a lot less than a Swarovski or other similar 1-6x scope. They are also less bulky than most 1-6x scopes. The combination of their relatively light weight and small size with good glass and a great illumination system makes them an excellent choice for a dangerous game scope. The .375 can handle fairly long shots, but I find 6x to be plenty for 300 yards or more. The only thing they don't have that others such as Meopta or Swarovski do, is hyrdophobic lens coatings, which I do like. Of course the glass isn't quite as good as a Meopta R2 or Swarovski Z6 either, but it is still excellent.

I just switched out my 1.75-6 to a 2.5-8 in gloss. Not sure what the vx3i brings, but i got mine at last year's price and match my 375 nicely...just waiting on some rings from mystic.
