I had a VX6 1-6x24 with illuminated reticle on my .375 H&H, as I wasn't using my .375 much I sold the scope to help fund a Zeiss HT for my 30-06. I should never have sold the VX-6, I regret it whenever I pick up my .375 and I will probably buy another one (Although I also love my Zeiss HT !!).
They have good glass, a very nice illumination system, and they are lighter and cost a lot less than a Swarovski or other similar 1-6x scope. They are also less bulky than most 1-6x scopes. The combination of their relatively light weight and small size with good glass and a great illumination system makes them an excellent choice for a dangerous game scope. The .375 can handle fairly long shots, but I find 6x to be plenty for 300 yards or more. The only thing they don't have that others such as Meopta or Swarovski do, is hyrdophobic lens coatings, which I do like. Of course the glass isn't quite as good as a Meopta R2 or Swarovski Z6 either, but it is still excellent.
