thread on Mossberg 46b

I bought this beat up mossberg 46b on the EE from a seller who seems to have disappeared since.

He either lost or neglected to send me the peep sight insert for, so as it stands now, I have an unshootable gun and am looking to try it out.

The sight says No. 4 on the side. Here are a few photos.

Can anyone tell me what the thread size/pitch is for the peep sight insert or where to find one?
Or, where I can find a scope mount in Canada that would fit this gun?

My googling has come up empty.

I'd say your rifle is an early 46B (1938-46). Good Find!
46B(a) (1946-47) S100 receiver sight.
46B(b) (1947-49) S130 receiver sight.
Thread size is a 8x50

Not sure he has any left. Also ask about a scope and maybe a Wards No. 20 side mount. $$$

Havlin Sales & Service in the US has them.
Don't think they shipped to Canada
But if you had a shipit address or maybe someone could buy and mail it to you.

Pre war model had the shorter mag tube and post war had the full length mag tube.
