Hi, I tried to load 7 rounds of ammo on my two Para magazines when I rack the slide I noticed the slide stop gets activated and no ammo gets into the barrel. I just want to know what is best to do. Do I have to replace the whole magazines or just replace the mag follower. Mag follower are much cheaper that buying a new mag. I'm not sure if it helps. Thanks for any professional advise you can give.

Since there are rounds in the magazine, the follower would be nowhere near the slide lock to hold the slide open on empty. BTW I think Para mags hold 8 rounds (at least mine do)
Does the slide drop on an empty chamber if the magazine is removed from the mag well? If so, it would be possible that some friction exists between the magazine and slide lock. Hard to imagine the body of the magazine being cut incorrectly to cause this? or the slide lock itself? People do make mistakes, and factories make guns on Fridays.
I'd try a third magazine known to function, and examine the two components and how they move in relation to the receiver.
