Could someone knowledgeable with the Savage Model 99 tell me what thread size/pitch etc. is on the barrel/receiver?

The thread size I'm looking for is the "v" shaped threads.

If it matters to anyone, .896x14. I had searched Google for this info and found nothing. Many other rifles listed, but not this thread size.

The sticky at just above the threads is all about different threads and types for many rifles.

Page 1 of 6 has the model 1899 Savage diagram of thread shape and specs. It will give you everything you will need to know.

Thanks bearhunter, I never noticed that sticky before. Page 1 of 6 has the 12 tpi square threads though. I think I should submit a drawing for the 14 tpi "v" threads.

No it won't.
if you had read my previous post, and the included quote from the sticky thread, you would know that the 1899/99 used different threads...square and v.
The sticky has square (1899) but not the v (99).
