threading a Rem700

I have a couple of Rem700 bbls.
I'm wondering what other actions can these bbl be re-threaded for.
I'm pretty sure I could go Winchester can it re-thread for the
Savage,Tika,Sako or Mauser?

You can fit them to a small ring Mauser with rethreading, not sure off hand about the others. - dan

Not a Mauser without bushing the barrel. Remington is about 1.060" x 16. Mausers are either 1.100" x 12 or 1" x 12.

they can easily be fitted to other Rem actions like the 721,722,725,Model Seven, 600,660,78,and 673....they can be easlily rethreaded to fit M70's and Ruger M77's and some Sakos which have 1"-16 tpi threads.....pick-up the lead though 8)..they will require other minor modifications for the non-Rem actions as well as reaming the chamber...

I have had a Rem. 700 barrel in 243 rethreaded onto a Parker Hale action (large ring Mauser.) Local smith had to re-cut the chamber. While this worked fine for a short, standard cartridge, I wouldn't recommend it for a standard length or a magnum round, not enough meat on the barrel in the chamber area forward to recut new chamber. No real logical reason involved, had parts laying around and started wondering "what if....." and it worked out quite nicely.
