threading shutgun security barrel for chokes?

i have a mossberg 500 12g, i have the field barrel but it would be nice to have a threaded barrel that is short for when im in the woods ect.

just wondering if this can be done, or if there is a shorter barrel with threads that can be purchased

Most fixed choke barrels can have choke tubes installed with no fuss. Epp's charges $100 plus the cost of the tubes. Tubes run around $10 each.
If you want a shorter barrel, any M500 barrel will fit. They come with and without chokes in lengths of 18.5, 24, 26 and 28 inches. Plus rifled and not rifled slug barrels. Versatile things the M500's. Long ago, they came with as a 20" 8 round cylinder bore, oiled stock, phosphated steel, riot shotgun that took an M16 bayonet too.
