Good evening,
I picked up some projects for my son and I to work on over the next few weeks... ended up with 2 of the Duetche Werke Model 1 rifles, 1 in each configuration, as well as a model 12 Remington.
Have about 4 hours into the model 12 giving it a good cleaning, the butstock must be cracked at the wrist, as it is wrapped very tightly wit a wax sort of cord. It actually works quite well. It is also missing the but plate. Any idea on valuation? It is basically all patina and no bluing, it looks to be in good usable condition, but not a safe queen by any means.
The Deutche Werke rifles are pretty cool “trapdoor type” single shots. First time I have ever saw one of them. Will clean them up, but also not in pristine condition, but good shootable guns.
What sort of ammo can I use in these? I have read normal “high velocity” 22 LR ammo is too much pressure for the model 12... is Standard Velocity pressure that much lower? Are the Deutche Werke guns about the same for ammo selection choices?
Thanks for the help!
