I recently came upon a few milsurps, and decided I'd better try a couple out.

First up was 1941 Longbranch, next a sporter Ross M-10, and last an Israeli dou.45 in 7.62.

My fuzzy old eyes don't contribute much to the whole affair, so be nice!

The Longbranch was not at it's best:

All are five shot volleys, off sand bag rests. The two .303's were random old hunting ammo, and the Mauser was Chinese surplus. All at 40 yards. Nice homemade reactive targets!:p

Gotta love my friend's sense of humor:

The old Lee Enfield is a 1941 Longbranch with a hinged front band and low cut in the forestock for a magazine cut-off. Matching bolt and receiver. The front cap is marked "CCM". It doesn't appear to have been FTR'd. SN OL71XX. The poor old thing needs a gentle cleaning.

Neat set up you have there and looks like you had lots of fun, that is what it's all about.Among the several milsurps I own my ex-Israeli Mauser in 7.62 shoots really well and on just about any brand and/or combination of handloads I feed it.

Just to make it clear, the bench, etc., belongs to a shooter friend. He had a wobbly old bench he used and got tired of it so he built this one. It is situated about 25' from his back door. He has a 40 yd. and 100 yd. target. Very nice setup.
