A I see a lot of turkey guns with the thumbhole stock. Seems like it would be a stable platform for a fully dedicated turkey gun; however I wonder how it works for any kind of wing shooting.
Anyone own a gun with this type of stock? Does it only work for "rifle-like" aiming, or does it translate well into other uses?

I have rarely seen a thumbhole stock on a shotgun. Most turkey guns I ever seen were the pistol steady grip style. You will always manage to shoot whatever stock you have, but wing or skeet shooting will always feel better with a regular stock.
