Thumbhole Stocks - Differences?

I am looking at acquiring a new 22LR with a thumbhole stock. Unfortunately I am not in a position to try any instead mail order or special order will have to suffice. Browsing the site I do read that some are complaining about a long reach needed to touch the trigger from a Savage Mark II BTVS thumbhole stock. That prompts me to question how much difference is there between the Savage Mk II BTVS stock, the CZ 455 Varmint Thumbhole stock and a Boyds aftermarket stock for either Savage or CZ? Are any of those thumbhole stocks workable for a younger shooter?

The factory thumbhole stocks on the savages are Boyds stocks. I have one on my marlin XT22m and love it, I don't find myself reaching for the trigger.

It will depend on the size of your hand. I have the BTVS and My hand fits it perfectly with no issues reaching the trigger or safety. Perhaps some photos with measurements will help you....

i have found with thumb hole stocks that it can be an issue but unless you have either very large or small hands you will be fine. also it depends on how you are shooting. if you are going to be benchrest shooting on like a sled you really dont have to have your thumb in there at all. even if you are just propping up the rear with a bag it isnt as much of an issue. if you are doing bipod + shoulder than you will need to make sure you have a good grip and it fits your hand well. as i said though, they are made to fit a normal range of hand sizes so it should be an issue anyways.
