I decided to get a Thureon Defense carbine in 45 a couple of weeks ago and finally was able to get out to the range. I went with 45 because I'm already set up for reloading and have components on hand. I'm very impressed with the quality of this carbine, well made. Very easy to take apart. I mounted a Leupold VX-R 1.25X4. I shot 150 rounds through it today, one malfunction on the first mag, my fault didn't seat the mag properly.

I used Blazer ammo and my handloads. Both 230 gr bullets. My handloads shot much better. 5 gr of Bullseye and Campro bullet. I'm happy with the overall accuracy, need to spend more behind the trigger. I shot at 25 & 50 meters.

The recoil surprized me, not a lot but more than I thought it would have.

50 meters, 10 shots off bench, handloads

25 meters, 10 shots off bench, handloads

My aim was top of the orange circle on both targets, 50 meters could be improved on.

I will try at 100 meters when I have more time.

good review and good grouping. I also just came back from the range with my High Point 45 carbine. Like you say....theres more Kick than a person expects. I to load 45 with 5g of bulleseye and find its a nice accurate load. It comes out pretty hot out of a rifle barrel. I was shooting a 14x14 metal plate at 100 yards ,and it was hitting with authority ! My groups were pretty much the same as yours. 45cal carbines are impressive.
