I had the opportunity to shoot at Tigrr's range today with a few other CGN'rs intent on touching the mile marker. I was there for 2 of the new inductee's membership, but unfortunately had to leave while the other's made their mark.

I haven't seen so many NIGHTFORCE scopes in one place. I didn't have the hardware to take full advantage of the opportunity, but managed to ring the 500 yard gong with the .223 when I finally got the wind right.

I forgot my lawnchair...and possibly a few fillings there (especially after that ported 338 Edge opened up). Hopefully a few of the guys their post some of there pic's.

Once again, thanks for the tremendous opportunity.

yes i would have to repeat..THANKS hugh!! will try to get some pics up. richard your "flag" chair was there at the end, the mice will take care of it!! should add that trevor, doug and i also did tag the mile marker a few times. nice meeting you, and i am sure will see you in the future.

Yes Hugh thank you.. It was fun. Maybe the weather will cooperate next time. Every one I talked to since said " snow what snow"..LOL.. and we had it all day...

But despite the adverse conditions the 1 mile marker was hit many times...

Thanks Hugh, the shoot was good. It feels good to join the 1 mile club. It was a good time had by all even if the weather wasn't the greatest. Hows the shoulder today Jay

You guys are welcome; I truly enjoy putting these on and meeting new people. I had fun!!
Sad news is, it’s the last one till after harvest this year. Now begins the tear down, 1 day to remove all the tarps and lumber out of the barn, another day to pick up the 34 targets off the racks and weld all the pockmarks/holes in the targets and paint and store them and the third day to pick up and store the 12 frames. It is fun being retired.
(Update)To date 12 people have hit the 1 mile target. 24 people have hit the 1500 yard target. I'm smiling as I type this, why, because we can!!(reach out and touch things)
The barn is empty & swepped as of 3:15 today.
75% of the targets are repaired/painted and put away, 23rd of Feb.
Feb 26 Everything is off the field, just in time too!
The mice left the chair alone but everything in the garbage can is confetti!! How many mice does it take to shred a 5 gallon garbage can of styrofoam cups and meat wrapping paper? Overnight!!

Looking back at the shooting position from the 1500 yard target. The barn is straight up from the rock in front of me. The big long silver roof in front of the trees. Hard to see it without optics!

The last 1 mile hits this spring. It was a beaut of a day.

Some nice groups at 1000 yards. The little pinpricks are my 270 130 grain hunting loads!! The sideways one as well.

All the targets

All put away till fall harvest is done. The field is soft in the bare spots already. Thankfully all my targets are off the field.
It was a hoot to do this, I had 25 people shooting at my private range this winter!
Life is good.

Want to add my thanks for all the effort you put in Hugh, and I sure enjoyed the shoots, and meeting new shooters.
Disappointed I had to miss the last one of the season, but I was stuck in sunny southern California....hope everybody feels sorry for me.....
Looking forward to next year, and thanks again Tigrr.
