Tig welding a bolt handle

Can anyone out there tell me who can tig weld a new bolt handle on for me. Also is tig welding better than using silver solder? I had this under precision rifles and had a few replies but that was not likely the spot to have this posted. I had the handle come off on my Lawton action so I am trying to find the best repair for it.
Thanks

New handle? As in, oversize bolt knob, or install and entire bolt handle on the bolt body? Or sticking some more onto a cut off bolt handle?

Some clarity will be required, in order that you get the details back that you need.

I'll second the pictures request, as it does make clear the required work.

<edit>Just re-read the OP. Handle came off? How was it secured originally? If it was soldered, it can be a right PITA to remove all the solder, and the stuff can play hob with trying to weld parts together, due to the contamination of the solder that is there. Following the original practice but doing a good job of it (which sometimes gets missed in a production environment, hey, stuff happens!) in the event of a failure, is usually a good plan.

Nothing wrong with silver solder, if done well. Clearances have to be kept fairly tight, and the part has to be properly cleaned and fluxed.

Cheers

If you are referring to altering something like a Mauser bolt for low scope clearance, O/A or TIG could be used. A Remington saddle style handle can be attached with high temp. silver braze.

As can be seen in the pictures is that the bolt handle came completly off. So instead of putting this one on I would like to put a Holland tactical one on. It is a little longer so I think the position of the handle will have to be changed a little so the timing is correct. Ther is a guy that does this and has had experience with Lawton actions but he is in the U.S. and it sounds to me like a lot of trouble trying to get it there and back again. So I am seeing if there is anyone that does this in Canada. I have talked to some gunsmiths already and it sounds like they mainly silver solder. Just trying to find the best way to do it. Posting pictures for the first time so hope this works.
Thanks

Although silver soldering has and is being presently used the better method is to TIG weld the handle on,
if you choose to solder I would add a screw for insurance.

Silver solder will work the easiest. Tig will require a little dressing and cleanup after the weld. Not to hard if you do it yourself coming from a tig welder.Letting someone else tig it would require a skilled welder.,but can be done. I tig weld my preference here would lean to a high strength silver solder. You would have to prepare it well to tig it for penetration you need come v ing out so you have a weld left after final weld has been dressed.Could be tigged with silicone bronze. There would be a small amount of colour difference but you could live with it. Is there some handle still on the bolt or is what you see what you get.
That's my 2¢

That is a Remington pattern handle & cam arrangement, so the longer Holland handle no doubt could be installed. The setup for timing is critical.
I have successfully silver brazed a number of Remington/Remington style handles on; not had any fail. I use a paste/flux silver braze. A good jig is important, to keep everything in place.
Done carefully, there is minimum cleanup.
I am sure TIG would be an option, but I have no personal experience.
