I have the same conviction as well. The article stated those guys were hunting which is unlikely......perhaps on a sightseeing safari if that is not a doctored footage. The tiger (or tigress) may been disturbed at a kill or a had cubs in the vicinity?

Didn't look fake to me! I have seek photos of tigers climbing onto elephant's to get after hunters on tiger shoots! Not impossible at all!

Oh, not debating the act itself :) There are many instances of enraged tigers snatching hunters from an elephant's back :D

What I meant was the article stating that those guys were hunting......well, no more, at least not legally in the Indian sub-continent. As it is, tigers are far and few and come under protected species.
 
I think the footage is real. You can see the elephant drop it's head and start to back up in reaction to the tiger. The shadows seem to be consistant. I'm a believer..in the video..didn't read the story?

Just another perspective, the person that posted the video may have just assumed that they were hunting and not have actually been there at all. Who knows right? Cool footage if it is legit.

Holly crap :eek: There supose to carry Howda pistols on elephants not little sticks.
Now i see why alot of Howda pistols are DB.

Man anyone here know if cougars can jump that far :confused:

In different books and some hunting mag's. Saw a lot more when I was a kid in NZ. Lots of books there about indian/africian hunting!!

Unfortunately, I never kept those books then!! Been trying to find others!
 
Didn't the Maharajas have some success with a material Silk? for drapping over the elephants that made the Tigers slip a bit when they tried to climb up?
