Police called after baby Siberian tiger on the loose on Vancouver Island

COWICHAN LAKE (CP) - A week and a half after a fatal tiger mauling in northern B.C., a Siberian tiger cub was on the loose in the Vancouver Island community of Cowichan Lake Sunday.

RCMP were called out to handle the 90-kilogram tiger which was eventually captured by its owner.

The cat was lured to a small shed after which it was transported back to the owner's residence.<snip>

And I'd like to offer a big I TOLD YOU SO.
Just wait until this critter gets larger.

And also with a small flock of Emus loose in the area for the past couple of months, I'd say Grouse Hunting in this area should be quite interesting this year.

Well the new report on CHEK news is someone sawed through the lock on the Tiger's cage...So if you know who might be involved tell them to stay the frick off of this persons property.

Also be advised that the owner of said property is armed, and willing to protect Her property, and IMHO rightly so.

As nutty as I think she is regarding the animal thing, I can't condone vandalism and PeTaphile like antics towards someones property.

Not too far from my hunt camp, there is a guy with lions and tigers. (not more than 2 km's away)
One of the erriest things is sitting in a duck blind as the sun comes up and the lions and tigers start.
I've dreamed of the day an escapee walks through my stand.
I wouldnt shoot it, but it would be one hell of a picture.
