has anyone else found the Weatherby Vanguard sub moa have a tight chamber? Ammo that fits the Brownning & Ruger will not chamber in the Vanguard. Factory ammo will. The reloads are full resized. Have yet to do some more measureing but so far--:( thanks for those in the know AJ

You will probably find that the problem will be resolved with new brass used only in the Weatherby.

I have had this same problem with range pick up brass. New brass helped.

Had the same problem with a M98 custom a few years back ... seems that
the Lyman FL die set I had was just not up to the task. A new set of RCBS dies ... "problem" solved.

You might want to look into RCBS "Small Base" dies to fit your minimum chamber. What's it chambered in?

Just use new brass that has only been shot in that Weatherby. With a nice minimum sized chamber the brass life should be great in that rifle. :D You got something most guys pay extra for! ;)

My M700 Classic in 300 Savage would not chamber any brass that had been previously fired in another rifle, even after full length sizing. I had to take the FL die and remove .005" off the bottom of it to get it to size the other brass enough so it would chamber. Brass fired in the Remington originally was no problem, of course. FWIW, This rifle is also extremely accurate for a factory offering, with many, many 3-shot groups in the ½moa area right out past 300 yards. Regards, Eagleye.

Same problem with me as well. Buy new brass and it should go away. My chamber was so tight, only new brass or brass from that rifle could be used.

Quick note: I tried to force the brass to resize as tight as I could get it, well, I had a few hard extractions. So I bought the new brass.

Regards

Pete
