Just came into ownership of a nice SS CMMG .22LR conversion kit for my AR, thanks to a great 'nut. Haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet, but soon!

One thing, not so much a problem as a peeve; I'm using a Norc CQA, and the stock magazine that comes with the kit (the grey plastic one) fits very snugly. It seats properly, but requires a good solid yank, and the magazine release to be very firmly depressed, in order to be removed.

Does anyone have any suggestions that could help this? I understand these mags aren't designed to drop free, but it'd be nice not to have to fight with it.

I'd find out where the high spots are on the mag and sand them down.
Yup... They're designed that way to give the user an optimal fit to their specific lower receiver.

Just take enough material off the magazine so that it drops free on its own. Take it off slowly and evenly. If you over do it, you'll be okay BUT it won't have as nice of a fit.
