I recently purchased some .50 cal sabots 240 gr. I have loaded many times same bullets and they are tight to push down the barrel but not unreasonably tight...pretty much normal but these new ones are f'#n impossible to stuff. Actually had to use a hammer to get them in and down at least 15 inches down the barrel. Now before you say barrel is dirty on in rough condition, I clean after every shot....I found some old projectiles that I had bought years ago and they went down smoothly as normal.
Is there a way to get these new ones to load reasonably (normal)? Is it the projectile that is slightly oversize or the plastic sabot? Got my deer anyway.
