Just picked up a new rifle for this season and I am very impressed with how it shoots. So far I'm getting a 0.62" group at 100 yards with a 165 grain Nosler partition and RL19 powder.

Does anyone have any load suggestions for more of a "long range" bullet? I love these partitions but don't know how well they will preform at longer distances.

Thanks in advance,
Buck

Love partitions. Might go back to them in my 6.5. Having mixed experience on game with accubond long ranges. Wouldn't recommend so far

Magazine length is your biggest limiting factor in the tikka unless you want to single feed them. For something that shot well and wasn't too long a bullet to load at 3.330" to fit the magazine i went with 178 ELD-X. They are a good long range higher BC bullet, for really close shots I do wish they were a little tougher constructed though. 200 gr Accubonds are a hammer in this setup and with a more modest shape they dont eat up too much case capacity when loaded that short. They can be hard to find on times though (as is most every component). Somewhere in the 178-190-200gr should be you sweet spot. Don't forget your likely running a 1-11 twist so it may have a hard time stabilizing the 210gr+ stuff even if you should decide to single feed. Cheers
