Here is some pictures of my gun project.I finished it during christmas holidays.
Barrel is a Gaillard in 1:8 twist.Stock was imported from GRS in Norway. My first trial at the gun range
gave me some decent groups at about a loonie size with Nosler 105gr.Another CGN'er suggested to try berger bullets. That closed up my groups nice. Now I'm just going to tweak my loads a little. Also picture of tools and jigs
that I had to make for this project.I jewelled the bolt also but forgot to put it in gun when taking picture.

do you work for others,

did you buy the barrelled action and toss the factory barrel,

what province are you located in, and what is the maximum yardage you will shoot at , at your home range,

why the 6XC and not a 6BR or perhaps a 6SLR, just asking

stock is very comfortable.Did'nt take to long to get it.They sent a email telling me when they had one ready to be shipped and less than 2 weeks later it was here.

That one ###y build! Never new about the stock makers either and am very interested!

Mind divulging how much it costs delivered and what the wait time was?

Lenght of pull is between 13.75" to 15".cheek piece will add 7/8" at max.
Built on a tikka 595 action with original bottom plastic and 5 round magazine.
Started life as a 22-250 stainless syntetic. No rail on it just a sling stud.Lots of meat on it to install rail thou.
I'm in alberta and my home range sucks.
Its only a 100m long.I will have to find a spot to shoot further than 100m.
So far I have only done work for myself and some friends.
I read a lot about the caliber when it started to come out. Then when norma started to make
brass and make factory ammo I thought thats great. I have a 22-250 also that I really like shooting and
since this is the parent case for the 6xc I had to try it.I never heard of the 6slr I'll have to check that out.

There is another stock maker in norway that I was looking at called KKC.
By the time I had it home it was close to $900

That is so cool
And i have been staring at the pictures of the tools/jigs that you included and I can't stand it any more and am willing to confess my ignorance -
CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THEY ARE AND IF THEY ARE SUPER SPECIAL ORDER THINGS OR WERE YOU ABLE TO MAKE THEM YOURSELF??!!
There, i feel better and will stop shouting now. i thought by now someone else would have asked but i guess i am gonna have to be the dumb one here.................

could you also do us the favor of showing us the jeweled bolt too????

Thanks for posting this thread eh?

Thanks for that. I have to say that i am impressed. and now you have these lovely tools for more projects.
And you are not half bad with the camera either I might add.

So what's up with all the compliments you might be asking yourself? nothing other than i know how much time it takes to make a little photo essay thing to show what you did and I think that is what makes a forum really good.

any way, enjoy shootin that rig!

Just ordered a stock yesterday and it might be here for valentines day (will let you know where I got it once it comes in)

Just ordered a varmint model with the heavier barrel than the Lite model I was thinking of buying for coyotes and skunks,

will send pics to someone who can post them once I get the stuff in, stock will be grey Jeff

I'm interested to hear the actual wait time. The only draw backs I can see right now are no flush cups and no Savage actions.

It's between these guys and Precision Rifle and Tool stocks...
