Thx pal!yup a few. Load to your max magazine length that it will reliably feed. 3.325” in my case to the tip. Make sure it isn’t touching rifling as its over book length (it shouldn’t) Good idea to find max COAL to rifling regardless. Follow the book guidelines from hornady and hodgdons website. Start low and work up. Couple tikka’s ive loaded for shot well in the 2950-3050 range. For me this is typically in the 66-68 grain range your mileage may vary.
Take this as a data point always go by book recipes, start low and work up. Depending on the brass you are using, primers, your specific rifle, etc you may find pressure sooner.
Interesting enough hodgdon suggests starting at 67grains. Id deff drop down lower than that based on the half dozen 7 mags i've loaded this combination for.
What primers would you have used bud?Thx pal!![]()
ThxI never used h1000 when I had mine but 7828 and that bullet worked well. It also like most 140gr monos
cci large rifle magnum when i can get them. Nothing wrong with federal or remingtons either. Just had #### luck with winchesters (they had a bunch recalled once upon a time)What primers would you have used bud?
