Tikka Battue lite available

I had the first Generation Battue from the early 90s in .308 win. Magazines were hard to find. Now I have the T2x Battue’s in 30/06. One scoped with Leupold Vx2 2-7...The other open sights only. The open sight model has the blaze orange grip inserts. On the front and rear of the stock. It’s grown on me. Not a rifle you will forget leaning on a tree after a pee break. Magazines are easier to find in the T3x models too. If I had to keep only one rifle it would be the Battue.

I'd really struggle to *not* buy one in 9.3x62mm. Mount a Bushy Elite 4500x in QD rings and it would be a great short-to-mid-range hammer. Bear over baits? Battue. Pushing bush for moose? Battue. Camp/cottage rifle? Battue. I think it answers a lot of questions and the platform is great.

The T3X Battue Wood is no longer in production, only the T3X Battue Lite. It is also one of the few rifles you can still buy with iron sights and is more compact than the regular T3X because of the 20" barrel.

Elwood Epps has a wood 9.3x62. Someone should buy it so I can stop thinking about how at home it’d be on this falls moose hunt

I have been looking at that one for a year…… hoping no one buys it so when I have the free money I can buy it hahahah

I had a 9.3x62 Battue for many years, did not shoot it much as the recoil was severe, but they sure are nice to carry all day when hunting.

The Tikka T3x Battue wood in 9.3x62 is a about $560 dollars more over a Tikka T3x Lite in 308, the Tikka Lite in 9.3x62 is approximately $300 more that the Tikka Lite in 308. However the one at Epps has a set trigger which is different from the normal Tikka T3x Lite.

Although I occasionally hunt with others, I won't ever be selling my Battue .308; Light, handy, amazingly accurate.
