I just got a Bell and Carlson adjustible stock for my CTR. Its beautiful except the bolt hits the cheek piece when I cycle it all the way back.

I've been trying to find some info. I Noticed KRG states this may happen on their Bravo chassis due to Tikka sometimes using long action bolt stops on a short action to allow longer overall length of cartridges.

Seems I have a few options:

1. Easiest, relieve the stock. Don't really want to. This will be my last resort of i decide I cant live with it.

2. Buy a spare firing pin and trim the back down for more clearance. Not ideal but it can be undone if I have a spare.

3. If I can confirm I have a long action bolt stop and that claim by KRG is true, I can get the short action bolt stop. This is obviously the best way to go.

Anyone have any insight? Am I missing something Anyone? Anyone know where can I get oem parts in canada?

Seems others have experienced this problem and documented it on another forum but not much info out there surprisingly.

I'm not really sure. I'm new to Tikka this is my first centrefire. I've always been a 700 guy. Never had this problem. I can see the appeal of the Tikka over a 700 but this is a weird oversight by the aftermarker stock designer(s). Thats one thing about the 700, the aftermarket is definitely better, with lots more available.

Call Stoeger or dig around on the internet and find yourself the short action bolt stop. I had the same issue with my CTR (.308) in a Bravo stock and completely solved the problem by dropping in the same bolt stop size as my .223.

Yup I meant to post yesterday. Found the fix on stoeger Canada's website. For $85 +tax and shipping you get both stops and a new pin. Checked my own and it is in fact a long action one.
