I think I have decided to build my tikka tactical by the way things are going. Found my stock and it is on the way. I found a tikka bolt handle and know to replace the factory one now too. I will post pics soooooon. And before anyone else does it....

You bought a new bolt handle? I think that the factory oversized knob would have been a much cheaper option. It threads right into the existing bolt and is the same part as used on the Sako TRG rifles apparently.

Someone had done a write up on it as said it was a piece of junk. They had done some research and came up with this handle. Didnt cost much more and looks better. I hope it works well but I will see once I get it here and try it out.

Ok this is what is coming my way, among other things :D

Ok so the handle showed up in the mail today and I threw it on before work. Works pretty good. I like it. Here are a few pics I just took of it and the rifle. Real easy install too. Pm me for the info if you want one. The are going to cost about $120 shipped Can. There are also S.S. versions for a couple bucks more if you have a varmint version.

I think for the amount of machining to be done it isnt a bad deal. They are made by a guy in the US and it is a complete handle and knob, not just the handle. Plus it is easy to change back to the original handle. The cost is 100 us dollars but add in shipping and conversion.

Well I used it at the range for the first time today. It worked well and I am extremely happy with it. Shoot then flick up the bolt easily with your trigger finger, and back. I see while so many people like them. Sure they were originally designed for gloves but it is so much easier and nicer now.
