Tikka Bottom Metal

Hi,
There have been quite a few threads on the forums here concerning the plastic bottom "metal" on the T3.
I have found an obsolete Tikka, I'm not sure of the model number but the bottom metal is metal and the magazine is steel. Can this bottom metal be made to fit my T3 or are they completely different?
All help gratefully received.

My guess is you have a LS 55 model from way back, when they were built like tanks. I highly doubt it would be even close to the T3 as they are a completely different action.

If it were me, I'd sell the T3 and keep the LS...

One definition of the word obsolete, as I understand it is; no longer in production.
I meant no offense to anyone with an older Tikka.

Oh no I'm not offended, or an owner of a Tikka...yet.
I'm just wondering what caliber this one your talking about is in?

must be an M55 or an M65...the LSA-55 and LSA-65 were Tikkas rebadged with the Ithaca name...

I doubt there's one part that will interchange between these and a T3.

On the other hand I think there would be a real market for steel or aluminium bottom metal and bolt shrouds for the T3....
