Tikka ejection issues

Hi all!!new to CGN. Having ejection issues with my tikka t3x. Wondering if anyone else has had similar issues? Looking for possible fixes/solutions. TIA

Is there an ejector in your bolt?

Is the spent brass hitting your scope?

more details may be helpful...
lol yes on ejector. No it’s not hitting on the scope. Will just not eject spent case on a consistent basis. Sometimes but most times not. No matter how hard or soft I run the bolt.

Ejector is the bit that's supposed to flip the brass out to the side when the bolt comes full backward. If it's not there or properly set then the case stays on the bolt face, or comes loose but stays in the way of chambering a fresh round. Are you working the bolt all the way back until it stops?

(Extractor is the other bit that pulls the case out of the chamber first.)

Sounds like the ejector has a short or soft spring. Is this rifle new or used ?

Likely needs the spring replaced which isn’t to difficult. Takes a roll pin punch, hammer and a new spring. Maybe 15 minutes at most gunsmiths.

If it’s only ejecting some of the time then that’s my guess without handling and inspecting the rifle.

EDIT! Read the comment below and remove the firing pin!

If you are going to try.
Just make sure you take the firing pin out first!
While the hole that the ejector retaining pin goes through passes right through the bolt, the firing pin is a couple thou in the way.
The retaining pin only goes about 1/3 through the bolt body and is short of the firing pin..
Don't ask me how I know.
New firing pins are sometimes hard to round up.
Mine was a .223 T3 Sporter.

Very good point I forgot to mention. Bolt should be disassembled!

My T3X did the same thing. It's chambered for the 223rem.

The spring/plunger hole was packed in grease.

Follow the instructions in that video and you should be OK.
Thank you. Glad to hear I’m not the only one experiencing this issue.

It is disappointing to have this issue, considering these go for 2500 Canadian.

Side note, thing shoots unreal tho. .2 .3
With hand loads on 5 shot groups.
