Hi everyone

Is the Tikka M695 Stainless 300 win mag a good gun, any problems regarding barrels blowing up on those ones, I have never owned a tikka.

What can you tell me about the m695, is it a good action and are they a quality rifle, are they heavy or average weight, normally I stick with remington but this one might be a worth while trade..

Thanks

Hey Brambles, I had a Tikka M595 in stainless synthetic a few years back. It is essentially the same gun as the 695, just the short action version. I thought mine was a great gun, it shot very well with my hand loads, then I got silly and sold it. :(

Tikka M695

Great rifle, I have a Tikka M695 in 7MMRM, very smooth bolt, very accurate and comfortable to shoot, love it :D  . Never had any problems with this rifle, not too light and/or heavy but not the best to walk in the woods, I used it on 2 mooses and 1 deer, all critters are in the fridge :) .

Good luck

It's a good one......get more if you can

If you don't jump on that, you'll loose it. I have an M695 in .338WM, very accurate. I brought it in to Russell's as I was buying a new VXIII for it, one of the salesman cycled the action and commented that he had not seen such a smooth action in a long time.

Well that's too weird. You asked for our opinion, you get 100% favourable feedback, then go for the Remington 700. Why even ask? To each his own, good luck to you.

My feelings are just fine, but thanks for the concern bud :) But hey, you'll spend some money making an outta the box Remmy shoot like an outta the box M695....guaranteed.
