Tikka hunter scope rings

Here's my setup...

1. Tikka 695 stainless/synthetic 6.5x55mm... Weaver #61 bases. Blue steel Burriz "Z" rings.

2. Tikka 595 blued/synthetic .308 Win.... matte blue steel Millet rings [the ones that fit the integral grove in the top of the receiver].

Optilocks come with integral bases/ rings. Plastic inserts will not leave marks on the scope.
some say they are not cheap... but look at a good quality pair of rings and bases and you'll see the difference. I had them on my tikka. I don't have them anymore beacause I sold the rifle (a doubtful move).
Give Joe a holler and he'll set you up.
Cry only once !

Hi,

I have burris base and signature rings. Next time i'll try Talley's for their light weight (alum. one piece ring and base).

If you prefer steel you can go Warne Maxima one piece.

All these rings are 1st class and 100$ cheaper than optilocks.

At any price don't go Millett dovetail style, they are pure crap and don't stand recoil.

I have the Burris Signature (not the Zee rings) rings and bases on the 9.3x62 and Talley Lightweights on the 6.5x55. I had the Millets on the 6.5 and they worked fine for me but I would not have wanted to try them on a heavy recoiling rifle. The Talleys are the way to go - $72 for the intergral ring and base one piece Lightweights.

I have the Talley Light Weights on 2 and Burris Signatures on another.

I've tried the Opti Locks. I like them on my Sako's but found them too high on my T3's.

Zee Rings and Mullets are trash. Sent them back. Zee Rings were weak. Broke way too easy. Mullets, just a poor system.

I tried them all on a few different Tikkas I've owned.
I'll also Vote for the One piece Talleys, strong, cheap, superlight and they look dam good too:cool:

I use millet rings and bases on my Tikka 695 whitetail .270 win. I am very satisfied. With the Weaver Grand slam scope, I need only one shot to verifiy zero in the fall. It is right where it was last year. Very strong, good quality, and much cheaper than opti-lock rings and bases.

I like the bushing inside the rings for the scope. A little on the pricey side but I dont mind.

Burris signature rings uses same plastic inserts. great for protecting a Leupold or Swarovski. In my case it's just an elite 3200...for the moment.

You have plenty adjustments with Burris base/rings combo allow you to keep your scope dead center for sight in. I did just 3 or 4 clicks to adjust my scope.

If you don't have the plastic inserts, they're not Signature rings, as this is the only thing that is different from the zee rings and standard turn-ins. :)

That's what I have...*had*. The local shop mounted everything after I asked them not too. I then swapped them for Leupold rings (they are interchangeable). He mounted Med even though I asked for Low.

My guess is he didnt bother with the inserts. He also did a very poor job on the mounting job like all the shops I've let do it in the past. That's why I insist on doing it myself now. They usually look at me with a blank look when I ask if they lap?

Zee rings are nothing like any of the turn ins.

I traded the rings with someone on this site. Can't remeber who. They were the Signature Rings.

There are Signature Zee rings and Signature Turn-ins, both have inserts, see link ;)

Why are you explaining it to me?

I own both, I know the difference. There's no way you can confuse the two. The Zee rings lock onto a Weaver style base with a screw and the Signature turns into the base, except for the rear which is a windage style like the Leupolds.

If i don't have the inserts they're not Signatures? What if I just don't have the inserts?

Not sure i understand but.

If you don't have the inserts you cannot mount the scope. These inserts are thick (about 1/4 inch). The rings will not hold your scope without these inserts.

If i understand correctly, they are 2 Burris models of STD (Leupold compatible system twist front and windage rear).

1. without inserts wich is STD around 30$

2. with inserts wich is Signature around 50$

Unless I forgot that they infact had the inserts, it makes no sense. I know both packages said "Signature".

You can get inserts for the standard and the Zee rings too. Just look in Wholesale's catalog.

I'm still using the Signature Base. The rifle package advertised with "Signature".

I'll look through my pm's and see if I can figure out who I sold them too. I'll ask which were sold to him. I advertised "Signature". He was happy with the purchase.
