Tikka M695 vs. Tikka T-3 receiver

Somebody has told me that the top of the receiver i.e. where one mounts a scope is the same in both of these rifles and therefore bases are interchangeable. True or false? Thanks-Karl;

The tops of the receivers are similar in proportion and the monting holes for mount bases and the rails for the clamp on bases are similar in dimension and will accept the same bases/and or rings.

I am specifically looking for the QR bases, not the QRW rings that attach to the Weaver bases. Does anyone know of a source? I have tried everywhere. Thanks -Karl

Hermie I sent you a PM but for everyone else ...Leupold does not make a QR base for any Tikka rifle. The only QR system I know of is Optilock from Tikka/Sako for about $170 and you need an allen head wrench to remove.

QR Ringmounts for Tikka

I assume you are looking for quick release ringmounts that attach directly to the receiver of your Tikka rifle. Warne makes a QR set of rings fit the Tikka's in both 1" and 30mm. Just type in Warne Scope Mounts in google to find them and ask if they have a Canadian distributor.

I've got the warne on my tikka and love them, they are nice and strong!! Tried to remove them and put them back, POI doesn't change!!

I Also Got the Warne Steel on my Tikka T3, it work perfectly on the rifle, and the would return to with in haft inchs when remove and installed back on, the work perfect , it cost $30 for both pieces, I got it from P&D in Edmonton, they are way better than the Aluminum, althose it depended of what caliber you rifle chamber!
