Tikka Opti-lok rngs

They are made of stainless - and you won't find a stronger setup.

However, they are pricey and very heavy!

I went with regular old Leupold Bases and Burris Signature rings - I'm very happy with that setup.

Alternatively, you could go with a EGW Base and TPS rings. That's a pretty sweet setup as well.

If you want to see solid the old dovetailed Sako rings are like a bank vault.I have a pre-Vixen in .222 I should have a Sako expert ID as I can't find it in any books.Gold acorn/oak leaf on mag bottom? Harold

Go with the Optiloks and be very happy. They are at least $70 less for the set that they were last year. I use them on all my Sako m75 and Tikka T3 rifles.

It like using Butler Creek scope covers on a Leupold VX2 or VX3 scope-use the Leupold Alumina ones- better fit and finish, nice and quiet. Cost more but if you can afford Leoupld top end scopes and same with ako rifles, go with the products they sell.....IMO

Warne makes a set of rings to fit directly onto the dovetail of the T3 and the older Tikkas. I would use that option. Why put on bases when they are already there?

Leupold are available in stainless, or at least a silver finish.

I used to have a silver scope on my T3 Varmint, as I thought black would look 'odd'.

Actually, I think it looks pretty good with a black scope!
