has anybody used one of these rifles. It is offered in southpaw, which few factory "target" rifles are. Just curious about price, and how close it would be to building a rifle in the same calibre (308). Thoughts or comments?

My shooting partner just bought one in 6.5X55 Swede, it is a very accurate rifle and shoots as good as my custom that cost almost double. Action is smooth, like it is running on ball bearings, and the stock is adjustable and very comfortable. I wouldn't hold my breath for a lefty though, I want one for my son but the distributer says they haven't seen one yet and likely won't until well into next year.

Keep your eyes peeled on the EE and you might grab one for 1500$ish. The stock is impressively adjustable and has all the features (and then some) that you would get on a 800$+ MacMillan etc. It has a very smooth bolt and a Sako made barrel. The set trigger is very nice too.

I had mine to the range just the other day and shot a 1.26" and a 1.6" group at 300m in low light, 5 shot groups too!. This is a factory barrel with 178gr AMAX during load development. I'm very impressed so far.

I know where there is a brand new in box southpaw Tikka Sporter in .308 sitting in a gun shop here in Nova Scotia right now ... It was ordered in for me as a RH gun but came as a lefty . According to the dealer when he checked with Stoeger they never ever brought one into Canada ! As it stands right now I can get the lefty but he hasn't been able to get me mine in RH , I have been waiting over a month .... anyone looking for one PM me and I will give you the contact info for the dealer .

I have one in 223.

It's an excellent rifle by all accounts, I just dont shoot it enough any more. The stock is excellent. If you take time to set it up properly, the stock will fit like a glove. I think I paid $1700 for it.

I don't reload, so I run 77gr Black Hills through the rifle. I have shot groups approaching 1/2 MOA at 100 and 200 yards very regularly, with average groups within 1 MOA pretty much all the time. It's very accurate for a factory rifle.

I have one I bought used off of a member here. It's in 308, I love it. I have had a chance to shoot a trg 22 since. I will stay with mine. To bad they don't make one in 338 lapua though . Sub moa with rem gold match 168. I'm now reloading with 155 vld's and getting great results
