So I have had my tikka for about three weeks now and have put 600 rds through it as of today. the first couple 100 I only had a few failure to eject about one out of 20 and I wasn't to happy with that. Today I shot 200rds and it was pretty much 50% of them failed to eject. it will extract the case from the chamber fine but just leave the case in the action. So i did some research and it seams that Sako quads and finnfires had the same problem with the ejector wire failing.
So has anyone else had this problem with the T1x or even the Sako's ?

I love my tikka but hate the idea of the ejector wire. Was there ever a fix for this on the Sako

Don't believe so. I've had my Quad for 10 years or so and have never had a problem with it. I've read on Rimfire Central that there is the thought that some people might damage it when cleaning and have an issue afterwards.

when I took my extractor out to polish it the pivot pin the extractor rotates on was extremely tight, so much so that it was hard to move. take yours out and spin the extractor on it until it moves freely and oil it after you reassemble it. tight is good, but they manufactured too much of a good thing. maybe that will help your ejection problem.

I have been using CCI SV, SK Match and FED. GM 711B, the issue is the same for all ammo. I check my extractor again tonight and all looks fine.
I also did some slow extraction, and it almost looks like the next round in the magazine is hitting the empty case before it hits the ejector causing the empty case to eject up.
I will look into this a little latter, ran out of time tonight.
