I am looking to buy 2 maybe 3 22lr rifles since we still have time before the registry kicks in.

One of our dealers got 3 Tikka T1X MTR 22 lr in stock, before i buy them, i am looking for feedbacks from members here.

Reviews are stellar, price is not cheap.

Are they worth the extra over a CZ.
Looking for personal inputs.

Thanks.

My wife and 2 daughters both choose their 20 inch barreled Tikka T1x’s over CZ, I was in their camp solely on the bolt throw feature but now that I have my CZ 457 varmint I am back to the world of wood and steel. While I dislike all the plastic on the Tikka, about the only real worry I’ve got is with little wire ejector.

Good luck!

The Tikka is 649.99 I thought the 457 started at around 830.00? I have the Tikka and love it, and worth every penny. If the 457's are under 650.00 I'll likely be picking one up too.

I absolutely love my T1X. Very accurate with standard ammo, really short bolt throw, super smooth action, trigger is really good and easily adjusted. I probably shot about 400 gophers (ground squirrels) so far with it and I rarely miss if it is inside of 75 yards. If I do miss it's all on me. I have a ton of confidence in this rifle.

My hunting partner bought the CZ 455 Night Sky the same time I got my Tikka. I've shot it a little and it is a great rifle and also very accurate. If he offered to to trade me straight across I wouldn't do it, and I really like CZ products.

I literally couldn't be happier with my 20" .22LR T1x. I have about 1200 rounds down the barrel - it's outstanding. I'm a new shooter, and with limited bench time and ability I'm putting 5 shot, 1/2" groups together at 100M consistently and much smaller at 50M. I have a growing collection of firearms, and I spend about 75% of my time behind the T1x. Head over to Rimfirecentral.com or Sniperhide... there are threads hundreds of pages long with guys showing results and satisfaction with these elusive beasts! Can't go wrong. Love mine.

PS - the icing on the cake is the fact that it LOVES CCI SV ammo lol - cheap as heck!

Had both, my cz remains, the tikka is cheaper than my mtr, but the plastic stock is short lop and I didn’t want to pay for a stock, yes they are everywhere, but I like the cz. Don’t get me wrong the day after I bought the tikka I shot a match with it nd did very well out to 300 yards with it. It is a fine fun, compared side by side they are very similar, even the bolt release is the same. The tikka has a lower bolt throw and is the same for accuracy, both are capable of sub 1/2 inch at 40 yards. I just liked the full size stock cz offers, to bulky for most people but suits me. Pick one you can’t lose

Don't forget you don't need to replace the stock on the T1X to increase the LOP. Just buy the butt pad for a tikka T3X. All the T3X stock parts fit on the T1X stock.

Yes but then I have a really good gun in a flimsy plastic stock, tikka dropped the ball on stock options. Yes offer the cheap plastic option, but Boyd’s already makes stocks that fit as does grs and many others so why not pull a couple of aftermarket options

My T1X can reliably produce sub MOA at 100yard using CCI SV. Too bad the KRG Bravo and Oryx stock are not compatible with the T3X

I finally had a chance to get my 16” T1x out to the range this weekend and I was very impressed by this rifle. Ammo was CCI SV zeroed at 50yrds. Shot less than 1/2” groups at 50, under 3/4” at 100 and put a 10 shot group in a 3” circle at 200yrds. This rifle is one of my new favorites and I have some pretty awesome guns but this one is just a blast to shoot.
