Hey guys-have any of you experienced a broken firing pin on your T1x? I haven't, but did some reading over the weekend and came across a number of discussions about this. I also read that there are some aftermarket titanium replacements out there, but haven't seen anything in Canada.

Interested in knowing if anyone knows a source (other than Stoeger) for the factory firing pins? Anyone know of aftermarket/superior ones? Not sure if the breaks are a fluke, or a potential problem I may experience down the road. Want to be prepared either way.

thanks!

This has been discussed on RFC & Snipers Hide & the majority of those who have experienced broken firing pins have stated they were dry firing their rifles.

When doing trigger adjustments I always have a fired case in the chamber to prevent any damage. I don't know of any advantage titanium offers.

I see no reason for it to be titanium either, strikes me as a curious choice. Perhaps it's because titaniun rod in small diameters is relatively easy to find?

Either way, interested in knowing of any spare firing pins floating around in Canada. If there are. :)

Or driving a pin out to disassemble the bolt, if your ham fisted when doing so you can snap the firing pin right quick.
