Hello. New to the forum and first post.

I am considering the Field Tactical chassis for my Tikka T3 30-06. From reading in the Cadex website, it looks as though the chassis is available for that rifle. Is this so, and if so, what is involved in swapping the stock/chassis? Is this best done by a gunsmith or is it a cool DIY project? I am confident I have the skills to do the swap if no machining or specialty tools are required.

Thanks, 'rigger

Good day

This is a 10 minute installation with no special tool required (except a torque wrench that we highly recommend for your action screws). No need to be a gunsmith if you are a minimum mechanical inclined.

Yes this is a configuration that is newly offered as long as ordered for the Tikka T3 factory magazine.

Let me know if you have more questions

Best regards

Wow. Thanks for the quick reply. Appreciated. This is looking promising.

Next question: From the time ordered, what is the average shipping/delivery time? And do I order directly from Cadex, or a dealer?

Is there an advantage to roller bedding vs traditional glass bedding?

Depends on the time or the year that you order, it could vary from 4 to 8 weeks depending of our production schedule.

I strongly suggest that you order through one of our dealers. Our dealers will sometimes sell cheaper than our website so it would be stupid not to save a bit of hard earned money.

The roller bedding technology completely eliminate the need for a glass bedding. The contact is metal to metal and the pressure on the action bolts remains the same no matter the temperature.

Best regards
