Every 308 I've owned had excellent groupings with factory 165gr Nosler AB's

Have you tried accubonds or hornady interlock soft points?

No, they are suitable for moose and deer?

Accubonds are excellent bullets, if a bit expensive, while Interlocks produce good accuracy and terminal performance a little more affordably. Either would prove excellent performers on deer and moose from a .308.

They hammer stuff dead. Not a fan of the hornady superformance though.
