I had the first opportunity to shoot my 7mm-08 Tikka T3 "side by side" with my new 308 Tikka Battue T3x. The recoil difference was very noticeable. Even though the 308 T3x had no mounts, scope, etc. to add weight, it was significantly more comfortable to shoot than the 7mm-08 T3 (with additional weight in the form of a NEAR rail and an Aimpoint Micro).

Definitely impressed by the new recoil pad and it should make the larger calibers chambered in the T3x much more manageable from a recoil comfort point of view.

I have Limbsaver pads on two different Sako 75's here that I would gladly trade for factory pads........they were on there when I got the rifles, I wouldn't screw such an ugly accessory on to a Sako,....or a Tikka.

I'm shocked Paul :)

What shoulder crunching magnum is your T3 chambered to?

I don't recall seeing one on your 375 Taylor :)

Are T3 pads the same profile as a 75 SS ?
There is nary a belted magnum anywhere in this house. The 375 went to live out west and it did have a Decelerator attached. Not saying I'd not ever own another magnum, but I find I like shoot std cartridges a lot more.

For the record, my T3 is in 270Win. No shoulder cruncher, but I wanted a rifle my daughter could shoot if she got a moose tag, thus the Limbsaver. Call me a nancyboy, but I like it too. :)

Not sure how the T3 pads fit on the 75s.

And that's a good thing!?!? That T3 must have been quite the kicker before.

I don't even mess around with the cheap factory ones. Limbsavers go on before I even shoot. My sons hockey pucks are softer then the recoil pads i took off my T3s lol. Guess thats why the new T3's have a better recoil pad.
